Greetings! My name is Panisara Jaijongkit, but day-to-day I just go by Por! I’m a journalist, writer, and occasional blogger. I’m currently based in the Front Range in Colorado and my work has appeared in Boulder Reporting Lab and The Colorado Sun, and on the air through KGNU Community Radio.
I’m a recent graduate from the University of Colorado Boulder with an M.A. in Journalism, with a focus in environmental journalism. I earned my bachelor’s at Emory University, where I graduated in 2021 with a B.A. in Creative Writing and a second major in Environmental Science.
I spent the first eighteen years of my life in Bangkok, and I’ve always wanted to pursue writing as a craft. So I came to the U.S. to study it, then to figure out what I wanted to do with it and here I am.
In my free-time, I work on the various fiction novels trapped in my head, watch animated shows, and take too many photos of the two kitties in my home.
Check out my personal newsletter! I hope to write out my thoughts regarding the media I consume, being Thai abroad and, when applicable, where they intersect.
If you’d like to contact me, please don’t hesitate to email me at por.jaijongkit@gmail.com.
